Elevate Equity brings a commitment to safe employment access for Black, Indigenous, Trans and Nonbinary communities of colour by educating the wider public and creating trans-affirming workspaces. Elevate Equity's mission is two-fold:
To offer Black, Indigenous, Trans and Nonbinary communities of colour talent building programming that encourage employment and entrepreneurship opportunities with confidence.
To offer quality equity education for businesses and organizations by promoting inclusive and progressive work environments.
We envision a future where Black, Indigenous Trans and Nonbinary People of Colour can fulfill their goals without having to jeopardize their gender identity, integrity, or sense of self. We dream of a society that prioritizes hiring and retention for racialized Trans people.
We aim to create Canada’s 1st TBIPOC-specific innovation hub, an environment where young leaders, artists, and visionaries are given equitable opportunities to expand through artistic and business development, personal and professional growth, and network building.
Elevate Equity works from an anti-racist, decolonial, trauma-informed framework. We believe in self-autonomy and choice. We celebrate our differences by honoring uniqueness. We practice consent and accountability.
We believe that Black, Indigenous Trans and Nonbinary People of colour have a right to build the futures of their dreams.
